We’re currently searching for an experienced Senior Manager, Projects for this all-encompassing role that is responsible for leading and overseeing a comprehensive program of airport capital projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of YLW. This role is accountable for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the 10-Year Capital Plan, and coordinating multiple projects and initiatives to deliver infrastructure improvements that meet regulatory, operational, and stakeholder requirements. Projects will include new construction, lifecycle renewal, airfield pavement rehabilitation and expansion, utility upgrades, environmental and resiliency, tenant and commercial development. The role will also be responsible for providing oversight to tenant development projects within the airport campus. The incumbent may take a direct key role in managing larger or more significant projects for the airport.

You have a post-secondary degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field complemented by a recognized professional certification (e.g. facility manager, project manager, superintendent or owner’s construction manager). You have eight (8) years of progressive project management experience in airport, construction, or infrastructure projects plus a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Previous experience working at a federally regulated airport or within a Canadian airport authority is an asset.
You have a thorough knowledge of construction practices and safety regulations, contract administration, building codes, contract law, and industry standards, including ICAO, IATA, Transport Canada. In addition, you have a strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and best practices.

The annual salary for this exempt position ranges from $134,000 to $156,000 (salary range currently under review), depending on qualifications and experience. Most candidates can expect to start in the lower to mid-range of this scale, with opportunities for salary growth based on performance and tenure.
